Member Spotlight
Jeff Hall
This month’s Member Spotlight will be shining on Jeff Hall. Jeff is been a long time member with the Delaware County Advocacy & Resource Organization since 2003, 14 years. Jeff currently resides in Aston with his roommates, Mike and Daryl. He mentioned one of his prior roommates John, recently moved to California and he misses him, but they do keep in touch with phone calls. When I asked if he would someday like to visit John, Jeff quickly responded “Yes!”
Jeff also spends a lot of time with his younger brother, Greg. They enjoy playing pool together and visits to Dorney Park or catching a Phillies game on the television. He reminded me that his brother often attends events with him at the Delaware County Advocacy & Resource Organization. Jeff is excited that it is almost time for his yearly family vacation to Wildwood Crest, while there he will be spending time at the water park and the beach. He has a great family and he enjoys spending time with them. “Maybe that his Mom will probably prepare some meals and his Dad may prepare Jeff’s favorite, meatloaf and mashed potatoes. “Dad makes the best meatloaf!” and sometimes prepares it for Jeff’s Birthday dinner.
Jeff was also full of excitement about visiting his parents for the upcoming Fourth of July holiday. His parents reside in Clifton Heights and the community goes all out with a parade, fireworks and a whole day of fun and Jeff reminded me “Don’t forget the hamburgers and hotdogs.”
Jeff is also very busy at work every day. He is currently employed by the NVC Workshop and Elwyn and enjoys the work. He has been there since 2009, but added he has applied for a community position at Giant, DCIU, Wawa, and the Coffee Warehouse. He is hoping for the Coffee Warehouse position.
Jeff sure is busy, but when he has some free time, he enjoys an episode of the Golden Girls or listening to his musical artist Michael Jackson.
Jeff enjoys all the social/recreation activities at the Delaware County Advocacy & Resource Organization, but his favorite events are the musical theatre events. Vera D’Ercole stated “I haven’t been with the Delaware County Advocacy & Resource Organization that long. I most certainly remember my first encounter with Jeff. I remember, because he was one of the first to welcome me at a First Friday event after a few days in the position. He is always very friendly and very sincere when he asks why someone might be missing at one of our events. He cares about his friends here at the Delaware County Advocacy & Resource Organization and is always the first to welcome a new friend to an event.”
